The southern coast of the island
On our first full day, we headed to Mount Teide, the highest point in Spain, as well as the third highest volcanic island in the world.
We took a cable car to the top of Mount Teide.
The view from the top of the island.
On the north side of the island is Jardin Botanico, the botanical gardens.
A lizard came out to see us!
A dragonfly poking around for something to do in a pond
A lily pad flowering
Another lizard says goodbye as we left the garden.
